Mary has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Illinois University and graduated with honors from Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine & Acupuncture earning a Master of Science degree. As a student, she served an externship at a hospital in Chengdu, China. While in China, study and travel opportunities took her to Tibet and rural Szechuan Province towns and villages. This experience helped her gain invaluable knowledge and insight to the ancient practice of Acupuncture.

Mary has been an Arizona Licensed Acupuncurist (L.Ac.) and holds a Diplomate in Acupuncture designation (Dipl. Ac) with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) since 2003.

She is very active in the advancement of her chosen profession of Acupuncture by currently serving on the Board of Directors of Arizona Society of Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture (AZSOMA).

Her passion for the healing arts started when she began a personal quest of living her own holistic lifestyle. This is evident by her genuine approach in motivating her patients to choose a healthy balanced way of life. In addition to treating the physical aspects of the human condition, she is skilled in recognizing and addressing the importance of emotional healing required to reach ones optimal health. One of her greatest joys is witnessing her patients' health and quality of life advance to higher levels.

Mary enjoys spending quality playtime with her husband, dogs and eclectic mix of friends. She is an avid mountain trail hiker and is a voracious reader.  Around the home, she is very passionate about her organic cooking and gardening. Food for her soul is filled with the practice of meditation, qi gong and yoga.

Her life calling:

"Helping people heal naturally."
